You can perform a Licensee Look Up and view the Licensee Profile for no charge – use the license expiration date to verify if the license is active. The licensee look up online verification system is intended for employers, hospitals, insurance companies, and those who require a more detailed verification, including the issue date and license number. All online license verifications purchased through an online account for immediate download are $4 per verification.
Online verifications are accessible for 72 hours from the time of purchase. For Public Users, the verification(s) can be viewed in the “Previous Orders” section located on the homepage of the online account used to purchase the verification. Users who hold a South Dakota license or are in the process of obtaining a South Dakota license can find the verification(s) under “MY FINANCIALS” on their online account homepage.
The online verification system cannot be used for a state board to state board primary source verification.
If a State Board to Board verification is needed, you must create or log in to your MySD account. After logging in, scroll to the bottom of the homepage and select “BOARD TO BOARD VERIFICATIONS”.
