Please note that Physical Therapy Licensure in South Dakota will be transitioning from the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners to the South Dakota Board of Physical Therapy after July 1 2023. • Any files that are incomplete (application and investigation) will be transferred to the South Dakota Board of Physical Therapy Here is the some of the information from https://doh.sd.gov/boards/Physical_Therapy/ : SB 78 passed during the 2023 legislative session creating the South Dakota Board of Physical Therapy and transferring the regulation of physical therapists and physical therapist assistants from the Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners to the newly created Board of Physical Therapy. The law will become effective July 1, 2023. NOTE: Applicants seeking licensure as a physical therapist or physical therapy assistant prior to July 1, 2023, must apply to the South Dakota Board of Medical and Osteopathic Examiners.…
